Jóvenes del ámbito Europeo que desarrollan voluntariado en los proyectos de la entidad. Es una acción enmarcada en el programa de Juventud en acción. El objetivo es fomentar la participación de los y las jóvenes en distintas formas de actividades de voluntariado, dentro y  fuera de de la Unión Europea.

El “PROYECTO DE INTERVENCIÓN EN EL FRACASO ESCOLAR EN TOLEDO” cuyo objetivo prioritario se centra en evitar la progresión de las causas que impiden una adaptación escolar normalizada y conseguir la asistencia a la escuela de todos/as los/as menores en edad de escolarización obligatoria que se encuentren en situación de vulnerabilidad o exclusión social.

Tendrá una duración desde Mayo de 2013 hasta Febrero de 14 y albergará a dos voluntarias: Emilia, de Polonia y Dilara de Turquia durante 7 meses, desde mayo´13 a enero´14. Para ello se han formalizado varios convenios con dos asociaciones europeas:  Kecioren Municipality de Turquia y Polites de Polonia.

Ahora en Octubre se incorporan otros voluntarios europeos al mismo proyecto que estarán en España 9 meses, desde Octubre´13 a Junio ´14. Para poder hacer efectiva esta colaboración se han establecido convenios con Experiment E.V., de Alemania y Centre for youth studies-Higher school of economics de Rusia, que  envían a Bernward y  Ekaterina para hacer el Servicio voluntario europeo con la Asociacion Llere.

Hi! I am Katya from Russia and I am happy to be volunteer in LLERE, Toledo, Spain.
What do I like most about being volunteer here is the TEAM –our colleagues are always caring, helping, with positive attitude, truly professional. I also like living with people from different countries, other volunteers, who enrich my own mentality and my views.

LLERE work with people in risk of social exclusion and in our particular case we work with Roma (gypsy) families and mostly children. We help them with their homework, organize free time leisure activities, playing, singing. I like to sing and so do most of the gypsy children. And we often sing to each other or together and I feel like it creates this type of connection regardless of age, race and other labels or features which person can possess.

Sometimes we struggle and not satisfied, but most of the time we leave work in a good mood and, most importantly, we see results of our work. We can not only help them to gain knowledge but inspire them, to make them believe that they can do and they can do more than they think.

¿Qué es lo que más me gusta de ser voluntario aquí es el equipo-nuestros colegas son siempre cuidar, ayuda, con actitud positiva, verdaderamente profesional. También me gusta la convivencia con personas de diferentes países, otros voluntarios, que enriquecen mi propia mentalidad y mis puntos de vista

LLERE trabaja con personas en riesgo de exclusión social y en nuestro caso particular, trabajamos con familias gitanas y los niños gitanos. Nosotros les ayudamos con sus tareas, organizamos actividades de ocio tiempo libre, jugamos, cantamos. Me gusta cantar y la mayor parte de los niños gitanos también le gusta. Y cantamos a menudo a cada uno o juntos y me siento como que crea este tipo de conexión, independientemente de la edad, la raza y otras etiquetas o características que la persona puede poseer.

A veces luchamos y no satisfecho, pero la mayoría de las veces nos dejamos de trabajo de buen humor y, sobretodo, vemos los resultados de nuestro trabajo. Podemos ayudarles a adquirir conocimientos, sino inspirar a ellos, para hacerles creer que pueden hacer y lo que pueden hacer más de lo que piensan.

My European Voluntary Service (8 months) has been a great time.

I did this year abroad after finishing school and it was the first time for me to live such a long time without my family, friends and far from home. It was not easy all the time but the work team made us volunteers feel like being part of the organization and we became good friends.

The main part of the work is going to 2 Roma settlements around the city which habitants live in very poor conditions. There we help the children (5-13) with their homework, play, sing, dance, paint, laugh – all in all having a good time. By this we had a close look into a gipsy community and the life in a small settlement which is very different to everything I knew before.

Dealing with these kids is not easy. Sometimes they swear, fight, shout and give you a hard time – but at last I loved every single one of them. Important for this project is to be prepared to adapt to a difficult but very interesting environment and to enter it without prejudices and an open heart.

Also I worked in a football team for children in risk of exclusion. They are not the easiest or most motivated kids but I had a very good time there, too.

By the way, before doing this I had no experience with children. It was just a matter of the ability to adapt and motivation. I learned uncountable things during my EVS and it was the best decision to do this and I recommend everybody who has this option to do something like this.

Mi Servicio Voluntario Europeo (8 meses) ha sido un gran momento.

Hice este año en el extranjero después de terminar la escuela y fue la primera vez para mí vivir tanto tiempo sin mi familia, amigos y lejos de casa. No fue fácil todo el tiempo, pero el equipo de trabajo nos hizo a los voluntarios se sienten como ser parte de la organización y nos hicimos buenos amigos.

La parte principal de la obra se va a 2 asentamientos Roma alrededor de la ciudad que habitantes viven en condiciones muy precarias. Nosotros ayudamos a los niños (5-13) con sus tareas, jugar, cantar, bailar, pintar, reír – en general pasar un buen rato. Por esto, tuvimos un vistazo de cerca a una comunidad gitana y la vida en un pequeño asentamiento que es muy diferente a todo lo que sabía antes.

El tratamiento de estos niños no es fácil. A veces juran, lucha, grita y le dará un tiempo difícil – pero al final me encantó cada uno de ellos. Importante para este proyecto es que estar preparado para adaptarse a un entorno difícil, pero muy interesante y para entrar en él sin prejuicios y un corazón abierto.

También he trabajado en un equipo de fútbol para los niños en riesgo de exclusión. Ellos no son los niños más fáciles o más motivados, pero tuve un muy buen tiempo allí, también.

Por cierto, antes de hacer esto yo no tenía experiencia con niños. Era sólo una cuestión de la capacidad de adaptación y motivación. Aprendí cosas incontables durante mi SVE y que fue la mejor decisión de hacer esto y se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo que tiene esta opción para hacer algo como esto.
